Paying on Awazon Market

Awazon Market accepts two cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin (BTC) and Monero (XMR). You choose which one to use at checkout. The choice reflects your privacy preference and current holdings, and the system does not mix currencies within one order.

Two coins, a conscious choice

BTC leaves a public trace on the blockchain. Anyone can see the transaction size and the address involved. XMR hides amounts, sender and receiver by default. This makes XMR the better option if you value anonymity.

BTC is simpler if you already hold it and do not mind the public ledger entry. This decision is conscious. There is no automatic conversion. Select based on your threat model, not just convenience.

Limits and mechanics

Payment happens inside the shop interface. You select your preferred currency, and the system generates a specific wallet address for that order. Copy this address into your wallet software, confirm the transaction and broadcast it. The shop detects incoming transactions automatically.

If payment does not appear within thirty minutes, check your wallet for double-spend errors or low confirmations. Some wallets require multiple confirmations to mark funds as available. BTC usually needs one confirmation for credit. XMR credits upon detection. Double-check the decimal points, rounding errors are common.

When the math works against you

Below fifty dollars, a BTC fee can take a visible slice of the order. Between fifty and two hundred dollars, compare live fee estimates before paying. Above that, the percentage impact shrinks and BTC becomes competitive again.

These are general guidelines, not rules. The break-even point shifts daily. Your goal is minimizing the percentage lost to overhead. Treat fees as a tax on volume, and lower volume means a higher relative tax.

The questions people ask first

No. Only BTC and XMR are supported. Any other coin requires an off-site exchange first.

Contact support inside the shop immediately. Refunds of excess amounts are possible, but they are subject to network fees and processing time.

Yes, but you lose the benefit of self-custody privacy. The transaction originates from a known exchange address, which draws a line from a checked identity to the order.

Network congestion delays confirmations. Wait for blocks to mine. The shop credits the order once the required confirmation count is met.
