Escrow on Awazon Market

Awazon Market uses escrow for every single order placed on the platform. When you pay, your coins do not go straight to the vendor. They sit in a locked state controlled by the marketplace system, and neither party can move these funds until the transaction concludes.

Where the coins sit

The escrow amount equals the total price of your order. This structure applies uniformly across all categories and vendor types. Whether you buy digital goods or physical items, the financial flow follows the same path.

If you have a dispute, the funds stay frozen until resolution. Once released, they transfer to the vendors wallet. If refunded, they return to you. There is no partial release unless negotiated specifically in a dispute outcome.

What escrow does not cover

Escrow protects the transaction itself, not the identity of the counterparty. If you send Monero or Bitcoin directly to a wallet address outside the shop, escrow offers no protection. That is a peer-to-peer deal, and the shop has no say in that exchange.

If you mistype your own receiving wallet address for a refund, the shop cannot recover those coins. You bear responsibility for your own address entries. And if you visit a domain that is not one of the three listed mirrors, you are dealing with a clone. Escrow on a fake site is meaningless, because the entity holding your funds may vanish.

New seller deposits

New vendors join the marketplace with a mandatory deposit. Until they earn enough positive feedback, they operate in escrow-only mode. They cannot release funds early even if the buyer agrees to it. The system holds the money until the standard timeline expires or a dispute resolves.

This prevents new sellers from dumping low-quality stock and vanishing. As their reputation grows, they gain the right to early release. This privilege speeds up payouts for trusted partners. It is a gradual trust building step, and it protects the buyer on every order in between.

The questions people ask first

Your escrowed funds remain on the platform. Open a dispute. The system handles the refund if the vendor does not respond within the window.

Typically seven to fourteen days. Complex cases with multiple evidence exchanges may last longer. Simple cases can close in two days.

Not easily. Once paid, the order enters escrow. Cancellation requires vendor agreement or a formal dispute if the item was not sent.

It allows a verified vendor to free escrow funds before the automatic timer expires, provided the buyer confirms receipt positively. New vendors do not have this right.
